As a true intervert for me i don't like dating or romance tbh i rather worry about my self and goals

In other words, don't assume their need, don't try to fix their problems, find out why they chose to be with you and dwell in that element more and finally, be yourself and understand that introverts are human just like everyone else so they aren't perfect.

I'm an introvert and i have that one friend that always miss call's me and ping's me multiple times when i don't immediately answer her chat, that annoys me very much especially i don't like being miss call's someone on purpose. But if that person accidentally miss calls well that's fine, but now she stopped doing that she just ping me just 2 or 3 times and gave me some time to answer, that is just enough for me 😄💗💓

Not true I don’t think this is fair. I’m quiet loner cause low self esteem. and poor social skills and sensitivity to loud noises. Due to trauma.

Someone asked me what was wrong because I don't interact with them the way I used to. Well, something clicked in my head and I got tired of them asking me personal questions, trying to put words in my mouth, talking about me in front of other people, making remarks about other people, asking me for things and talking out of line when other people are talking. I don't like confrontation sooo I'm cordial and go on my way.

I've always thought that anxiety was the cause for me hating the phone. It turns out that is the other way around. No wonder my stomach does a summersault everytime my phone rings, and lately it's closer to a panic attack. Now I'll work on that from another perspective. Thanks!

I would like to say how I really feel but I can't, I'm an introvert.

I have learnt that i can gain insights to the other person from small talk. But I have limits. Small talk is not meaningless at all….

As an introvert myself I have always been misunderstood by my family. This always caused them to either caused them to avoid me. Many of them would start arguments with me at family gatherings. Eventually I stopped going and the truth is I'm glad I did. It's a relief not to go to things like that. I used to dread the holidays because I had to spend it with my family. Since the last big argument I quit going. I still talk to my family but I make excuses nowadays not to go to gatherings.

Is it possible to become an introvert because of upbringing? Being told anything you say doesn't count. Being told to shut up by older siblings. As an adult, being talked over when you are speaking or having people turning away from you when someone else is saying something. No wonder some people become introverts.

I didn’t know I was one until I figured out what I liked and did’t like I hate loud noises I don’t,like been in a large crowd I feel awkward nor do I like been included in parties I’m much happier just hearing about their good times i I am happier if I am alone!

Why is so much emphasis put on a quiet person (introvert) in a negative way. We are thinkers and do not go off on other people because their opinions are not the same? We are not "scary". Only introspective. We think before we speak and do not cut other people off when they are speaking. Unlike extroverts who think it is all about them. I could go on but, in the end, if we had more introverts in the world, maybe they would make the "fly off the handle" extroverts take a step back and realise what chaos comes after the useless outbursts............

I agree with all of these points. Also with anti-social can be seen as an insult since it has multiple meanings. It can mean that introverts hate crowds (which is true...) but it's also used to describe vandalism, and other nuisance behaviours like getting drunk publicly, causing fights, harassing people... It's better so say reserved, reclusive or private instead.

This video has described me perfectly I still have trouble understanding myself and this video just simplifies a lot of my questioning. When meeting someone I always ask what they like to do, their answers let me know if they would be a good fit without letting them know I’m an introvert 😢

Growing up I never really realized I was an introvert, but all of the characteristics mentioned fit me perfectly. As a senior elder now I seem to exhibit all of these traits even more. I'm glad I'm me.
